New radar and sonar tables make for a new level of excitement! There is less certainty of detection at long range and greater certainty at close range. New ships now perform noticeably better that older ships in terms of spotting and being spotted.

Planes are now harder to spot than ships, and missiles are even tougher to spot than planes. An example of play under the new rules is part of this pacakge.

Surface to surface and air to surface ordnance has been classified by flight altitude and trajectory; ballistic and skimming. Complete tables for SSM's and ASM's are included.

Ever since India and Pakistan gained independence in 1947, (and subsequently Bangladesh in 1971), this region has been a hot spot that could and would erupt into armed conflict at any time. The navies of each side, though not necessarily large, are quite capable of conducting significant operations.

In as much as 2011 is the 40th anniversary of the 1971 war, it is only fitting that this expansion contains not only the 21st century fleets and scenarios PLUS the fleets and scenarios for the 1971 war as well. There are 7 scenarios in all. Only the core rules has more ships and planes than the India-Pakistan Expansion. (for now)
