Great Rules! Any plans to release jets (ME 262 etc.) or Korean War Jets? Still "WW2ish" since they use guns rather than missiles, but just a bit faster.

Thank you! the rules for things like the ME262 have been alpha tested but never released due to a lack of playtesting. other planes that have alpha rules include the P47, F4U, FW-190D, Macci c.202, Macci c.200, Lagg 3, I-16, Mig-3, KI-61 and some others. honestly I've let this project be fallow for a while due to a Perceived lack of interest.

Bummer! It's got all the hallmarks of a great dogfighting game! I tried Check Your 6! but it was a bit too complicated without a teacher.
This one I can pick up quickly, and still have pilot skill etc. Also interesting that "planes speed" is merged into the maneuver charts. The avoidance of "chits" on the tabletop is a real bonus.

Also love the ability to not need hexes :)

One thing I might suggest is to make the rules/templates etc. simpler, and black and white, thus easier to print out. The bright colors look great, but can really suck up printer toner.

Is there a FB group?

Sorry about that. Never did figure out how to improve the preview. In the 6 years this has been published I have not recived any particular critique about the games layout design or even any questions about rules clarifications. So I think that might be reassuring.

Can you or will you be releasing the Stls for the actual planes?

I'm in talks with a well known sculptor to start aircraft sculpts. As they are little beyond my current skill to do. As far as release format we are discussing options.

That would be great. Hope to see the planes soon. I have 2 different 3d printers and these would be easy to print. Could you do a few turns or a full playthrough on Youtube?

I'll see what I can do I've been asked before. There is a old video on our Facebook page but it's a little rough...

Are the aircraft counters drawn realistically or are they cartoonish like on the game cover?

The aesthetic of the game counters is cartoonish, there are photos of a counter being built here ( http://www.wargamevault.com/product/196136/instructions-for-OnWings-counter-sheets?src=hottest_filtered ) however there are lots of resources for realistic proportion aircraft available. :) (which is why I settled on this look) the flight models movement and everything else about the game is based on extensive research. hope that helps your question!

This has definitely left me wanting more. Especially P-40s and Pacifc naval planes. What does the release schedule look like, will we be getting more soon?

The critical pacific planes have their stats sorted out, I just need to finalize the plane cards create the counters and PTO/CBI theater cards (which is the time consuming part) and those will be available.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
